On CD-ROM

The following interactive CD-ROMs are available for use within the Craythorne Anesthesia Library room. The CD-ROMs must be checked out from the librarian, Avilette Rodriguez, and are to be used only on the computers within the library.

1		Harvard Electronic Anesthesia Library (HEAL): A comprehensive, fully interactive electronic textbook that covers the entire field of anesthesiology. Includes over 100 modules, each containing photos, video clips, and questions/answers. All modules are hyperlinked to allow easy access between related topics, and a search engine is included.
2		Lippincott’s Interactive Anesthesia Library: Includes the full texts of Clinical Anesthesia, 4th Ed. (Barash, Cullen, and Stoelting), Handbook of Clinical Anesthesia, 4th Ed. (Barash, Cullen, and Stoelting), Neural Blockade, 3rd Ed. (Cousins and Bridenbaugh), Pharmacology and Physiology in Anesthetic Practice, 3rd Ed. (Stoelting), Review of Clinical Anesthesia, 3rd Ed. (Connelly and Silverman), Anesthesiology: Problem-Oriented Patient Management, 4th Ed. (Yao), Textbook of Internal Medicine, 4th Ed. (Kelley), BreathSim Lite interactive anesthesia simulations. Includes hyperlinks that cross-search between all texts, 30 minutes of video, testing software, and over 1000 question and answers cross-linked to full text explanations.
3		The Electronic Anesthesia Library (TEAL): Includes full text articles from Anesthesiology, Anesthesia & Analgesia, The British Journal of Anesthesia, and The Canadian Journal of Anesthesia. CD1 covers 1992-1996, CD2 covers 1997-2001.
4		Miller’s Anesthsesia, 5th Edition. The full text on a CD-ROM, including additional photos and video demonstrations. Weekly updates will be posted at www.anesthesiatext.com

9		Regional Anesthesia CD-ROM – An Interactive Atlas of Anatomy and Techniques: Over 300 videos and photos illustrating all types of nerve blocks.
10		Hypertextbook of Regional Anesthesia for Obstetrics – An International Perspective: Contemporary issues on OB anesthesia are discussed by a panel of 80 international obstetric anesthesiologists.
