Critical Event Management in Pediatrics

• Pediatric residents and staff nurses learn the principles and skills necessary for effective critical management in the pediatric patient. Simulated cardio-respiratory arrests give residents and nurses hands-on experience of the resuscitation of critically ill children.
• Community-based pediatric scenarios are designed to assess residents’ communication skills in blended simulations, where a parent is portrayed by an actor and the child by a high fidelity simulator.
