Joshua D. Lenchus, D.O., R.Ph., FACP, SFHM

Joshua Lenchus, DO, RPh, FACP, SFHM is a 2000 graduate of Nova Southeastern University – College of Osteopathic Medicine. He received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Florida in 1993.

Dr. Lenchus has been involved in legislative advocacy and public policy for a number of state and national medical organizations, speaks on a number of health policy-related issues, and is a senior fellow of the Center for Medicine in the Public Interest.

He serves as the President of the Jackson Health System Medical Staff, Associate Director of the UM-JMH Center for Patient Safety, and Associate Program Director for Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Internal Medicine residency. He also is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine and Anesthesiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. His interests are medical education, simulation, bedside procedural instruction, patient safety, healthcare public policy, and venous thromboembolism. He has presented locally, regionally, and nationally, and has been published in many of those disciplines.

In 2007, Dr. Lenchus was elected Fellow of the American College of Physicians and more recently elected a Senior Fellow in Hospital Medicine.
