Michael Fabbro II, DO

Michael Fabbro II, DO is currently the Program Director for the Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology fellowship at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine where he is an Assistant Professor in Clinical Anesthesiology. He joined the faculty in 2015 and is currently the Site Chief of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia at the University of Miami Hospital and Clinics. Dr. Fabbro has published numerous peer-reviewed articles, given multiple grand rounds and visiting professor lectures and has presented at many scientific meetings. He has won several awards at the University of Miami including perioperative leadership awards and teacher of the year. His main clinical interests are structural heart echocardiography and coagulation management. He currently serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia.

Yiliam F. Rodriguez-Blanco, M.D.

Yiliam Rodriguez-Blanco, MD, is the Chief of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia for the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine where she is a Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology. She serves as the Director for Clinical Research and leads the residency research rotation. She has served as both the principal or sub-investigator on dozens of clinical trials. She has authored a variety of book chapters, numerous peer-reviewed articles and has presented at many scientific meetings, where she has won multiple awards. Her primary interests are in clinical research, cardiovascular anesthesia and the management of critically ill cardiac patients.

Oscar Aljure, M.D.

Dr. Aljure is currently the Assistant Program Director for the Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology fellowship at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine where he is an Assistant Professor in Clinical Anesthesiology. Dr. Aljure holds two board certifications in critical care medicine and transesophageal echocardiography. He completed residency and fellowship training at the University of Miami and joined the faculty in 2016. Since joining the faculty he has already published numerous peer review articles, directs the perioperative transesophageal echocardiography course and is currently the principal investigator on several clinical trials. He frequently serves as an invited reviewer for the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia.

Pankaj Jain, M.D.

Dr. Jain joined the faculty in 2016 after completing residency and fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic. He is board certified in transesophageal perioperative echocardiography and is an Assistant Professor in Clinical Anesthesiology. He currently serves as the residency rotation director at the University of Miami Hospital and Clinics. He has authored several review articles on mitral disease and is currently a co-investigator on a clinical trial for evaluating mitral disease. His main clinical interests are guidelines, perioperative echocardiography and percutaneous structural heart therapies. He frequently serves as an invited reviewer for the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia.

Hugo Rocha, M.D.

Dr. Rocha is currently an Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Rocha is board certified in critical care medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship training at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. He currently serves at the quality officer for the Department of Anesthesia at the University of Miami Hospital and Clinics. His main interests are quality assurance and critical care.
